The problem with modern communication
Most digital communication tools are designed around speed, visibility, and reaction. They reward posting often, reaching many people, and collecting responses. Over time this optimises for performance rather than connection. The people we most want to stay close to can feel strangely distant even when we're in constant contact.
Meaningful communication often needs different conditions: a little more time, a little more privacy, and the quiet confidence that what you write does not need to be measured or validated to matter.
How it works
You write letters - stories, updates, photos - and send them to a small group of people you choose. Each letter goes directly to their inbox, read in full, at their own pace. Only the people you invited can read what you write.
There are no public feeds, no likes, no follower counts, and no algorithmic amplification. The relationship between sender and reader is personal and direct, not mediated by audience mechanics.
Privacy by design
Readers of a series do not see each other. There is no comment section, no group thread, and no social pressure created by visibility into how others responded. A letter arrives in your inbox and the conversation continues privately, in your own email, at your own pace.
This is intentional. When communication stays private and non-comparative, people tend to be more honest, more considered, and more themselves.
How we keep your content safe
Every letter you write, along with any images you include, is encrypted before being stored. Only you and the readers you choose can access what you write.
We cannot read your letters in the normal course of operating the service. Privacy is not a feature you toggle. It is built into how the service works.
Where your data lives
We chose infrastructure with European data residency deliberately. A platform built around private correspondence should keep your data close to you, and under GDPR jurisdiction.
- Email delivery: Brevo (Sendinblue SA), a French company headquartered in Paris and processing data within the EU. GDPR-compliant by default. Privacy policy
- Database: Hosted in Frankfurt, Central Europe.
- Application and media storage: Microsoft Azure, Sweden Central. Powered 100% by renewable energy.
Relationships, not audiences
The people who receive your letters are not followers. They are not subscribers in the creator-economy sense. They are people who have consented to hear from you, and that distinction shapes everything about how the platform works.
